The Robbers in Natural Disasters"...natural disasters are very attractive to robbers of all kinds – the local thugs that prey on the vulnerable people, the big brothers that want to white-wash their past crimes by robbing long-term memory of the suffering people with their petty donations and hypocritical gestures, and not to be forgotten in this context the charlatans that want to deflect our attention away from their killing fields – the Gaza, and the soul-snatching robbers – the missionaries. Lucky are those who can save themselves from such robbers in times of natural disasters!" |

"Hail to the Cheat," a political novel, by Ted Venetoulis (A Review)Americans need a good laugh. After eight years of Dubya, and one year of President Barack Obama, who prefers to be loved and not feared, a political spoof has arrived to save the day. It’s Ted Venetoulis’ fun-filled novel, “Hail to the Cheat.” President Lance Billingsley gets caught by the First Lady, Jessica Berringer, “doing” her dear friend, Sondra Heatherstone, on the carpet and in the buff in the Oval Office! Gitmo thrives despite Obama's much-trumpeted promise"We are now into the Obama era but little has changed. When a country embarks on a course of such blatant abuse of law and makes its own rules as it goes along, it is bound to come up against complex situations that are both easy and extremely difficult to resolve. Easy because the US can do the right thing and admit that it is guilty of egregious wrongs against innocent people and let them go, but difficult if it clings to the notion that the US can do no wrong. The farce of the war on terror must end if Obama wants to improve the US’s tarnished image globally. Deeds, not words, will change global perceptions." |

Britain may provoke new conflict with Argentina"If the United Kingdom succeeds in provoking a new war, it in turn will appeal to its NATO allies for logistical, surveillance and other forms of assistance, including direct military intervention if required. In addition to the U.S. and Canada, Britain's NATO allies in the Western Hemisphere include France and the Netherlands with their possessions and military bases in the Caribbean and South America...Britain is playing with fire and if it ignites a new conflict it could rapidly spread far beyond the waters off the southern tip of South America." |

Humanity vs. Insanity"Democracy, like charity, begins at home but ultimately extends much further than a locality or a nation. It is time for the endangered species - the overwhelming majority of earth’s population - to gain control of the situation before it is too late. The important work of the immediate future involves whether that happens through a truly democratic United Nations controlled by the real global majority..." |

Israelis and Palestinians unite to confront settler colonialists"We should oppose any extremism whether it is in politics or religion. Evil begets evil in politics and religion and evil is defined as the premeditating harm, which is inflected upon others to dispossess, can only bring about the same to the aggressor." |

Gaza's youth not 'superfluous'"The fact that Kramer fails to make the connection between Israeli policies and the conditions that lead to economic "superfluousness" undergirds his logical and analytical ineptitude. This, coupled with the racist and offensive nature of his comments, should push decision makers at Harvard University to reconsider whether it should be affiliated with such individuals." |

The Arab Masses Look for Change and Peace"Arab people are talented and progressive but irony is that American mass media does not want to see it that way. Corporate interests dominated media networks only show what they believe in to be of their own kind. They love Obama and Hillary, whether the Middle East or the world, their images crop up in multiple news bound. The rest of the globe is a helpless partner in the news making." |
